Facilitated grant-writing
Have you ever noticed how some people are exceptionally good at winning grants?
It’s not always because their ideas are better. More often, they excel at writing persuasive proposals.
Our facilitated grant-writing process provides comprehensive support—project management, coaching, facilitation, and editing. We'll help you organize and manage what can feel like an overwhelming project, ensuring you create a winning proposal that communicates your idea clearly and effectively. Plus, you’ll submit it ahead of the deadline, so you can relax while others are scrambling at the last minute.
I collaborate with Brendon Bosworth and his team at Human Element Communications, a communications agency specializing in helping researchers communicate clearly and impactfully, to offer a seamless, guided experience.
What to expect from a facilitated grant-writing process
Initial meeting
We’ll work together to refine your core idea and craft a compelling pitch that covers what you want to do, why it’s important, and why you’re the ideal person for the project.
2. Timeline
We’ll create a customized timeline based on the grant’s deadline, outlining tasks, submission milestones for editorial feedback, peer review, and final submission. This plan is tailored to your availability.
3. Regular check-ins
We’ll meet weekly to track your progress, set goals for the next week, discuss any concerns you might have and problem-solve together.
4. Staggered editorial feedback
You’ll submit parts of your proposal in phases, allowing us to provide targeted feedback throughout the process.
Working with the Bosworths turned an otherwise solitary individual effort into what felt like a collaborative project (and a fun one, at that!). Although I had to do the writing myself, Faith and Brendon aided me in structuring the overall process, tracking day-to-day progress, and editing all my grant's materials.
Throughout the process Faith and Brendon treated me with warmth, respect, understanding, and exactly the right balance of encouragement and seriousness needed to keep me on track to achieve this goal. I'd rate this experience 10/10 and couldn't recommend the Bosworths more highly.
Although I don't yet know the outcome of the grant application, I can say without a doubt that I am significantly more confident in my submission than I would have been without their support.
